The FSM Story
​Our story began in 1995 when our founders, then colleagues at a tax firm, recognized a shared commitment to doing well by doing right. This common vision led them to purchase the firm and create Financial Security Management. With a genuine desire to help as many people as possible, they set out to build lasting relationships—many of which continue to thrive today. Over the years, FSM has navigated both external challenges, like advancing and expanding the financial side of the firm in the midst of the 2008 economic crisis, and internal milestones, such as growing the team and acquiring the building where we are now located.
​From its early days focused solely on tax services, FSM has grown to offer comprehensive financial guidance, realizing that they could have a greater impact on clients' lives. In 2015, we partnered with Charles Schwab as our custodian, bringing valuable benefits to our financial clients. As we reflect on our journey, we remain grounded in the strengths and lessons of our past while preparing for sustainable growth, guided by our core values of creating impact and serving selflessly.

Our Culture Defined
One of the most important factors of our long-term success is how we operate within the firm and alongside each other. To achieve an effective and deeply relational attitude towards what we do, we have a goal to operate out of a culture of congruency.​

Simply put, we define congruency as: what we say aligns with what we do. Our culture refers to an environment where our values, behaviors, and practices are consistent across all the levels of the firm. This kind of environment grows not just trust and authenticity, but most importantly harmony between our actions and our values. Where there is congruency, there is a lived reality that guides everyday decisions and interactions.
