Ian Sallee
Tax Assistant
Ian started with FSM in January of 2025, joining our Tax Department doing data entry. He quickly gained experience with all aspects of the tax process, and can now follow a return from start to finish. He enjoys learning about the details of tax preparation and gaining competence at every level. Ian has a background in client-facing work—largely in outdoor industries including raft guiding and kayak instructing—and that, especially combined with his data-oriented skillset, makes him a valuable asset to the team. He’s excited to cultivate long-term relationships and be a part of our clients’ overall journeys.

About Ian
Ian moved to Colorado in 2006 after spending time on either coast—as a raft guide in North Carolina and doing ski patrol in California. Denver is the perfect fit for him because of the range of outdoor activities available all in the same place. .

Ian got his degree in environmental geology and hydrogeology, with a minor in outdoor education and parks and recreation. He has always loved working in outdoor-related fields, from his previously mentioned raft guiding and ski patrol to photo-boating and working in a bike shop.

FSM is Ian's next step after being a stay-at-home dad for the last six years. Nothing will ever beat that job, but FSM is hoping to strive for second place—we’re so happy to have him onboard.
